Backups: downloading and restoring

The plans include automatic backups, and you can always download your own copy with one click.

Open Backup
In cPanel, in the Files section, click Backup (or Backup Wizard).
Download a copy
Choose Download a Full Account Backup or download the home directory, databases and email forwarders separately.
Store it safely
Keep the copy outside the hosting (your own computer or cloud storage).
Restoring a partial backup
In the same menu, under Restore, upload the home directory or database file.

TipThe 3-2-1 rule: three copies, on two different media, one off-site. The hosting’s automatic backups are only one of them, not all three.
