scyhost. How to transfer a domain to ScyHost
To transfer you need the authorisation (EPP) code from your current registrar.
- Unlock the domain
At your current registrar turn off the transfer protection (Transfer lock). - Request the EPP code
The registrar will send you the authorisation code (EPP / Auth code), usually by email. - Start the transfer
On the transfer page follow the instructions and enter the domain and code. - Approve the transfer
Check the registrant’s mailbox — a request to approve the transfer may arrive there. - Wait
The transfer can take a few days depending on the extension and registry. The domain stays active in the meantime.
TipBefore transferring make sure the registrant details (especially the email address) are correct, because confirmations are sent there.
